Miss Conerty was my second grade teacher. She was married that year, so she shared a lot about her wedding preparation, etc. I found this card in my mother's grammar school collection.

Dear Mark and Family, I am so saddened to learn this evening of Kathy's passing. Viewing the lovely video showed me what a wonderful life she had attending St. Francis Xavier and Woodlands, being a great teacher to young children and nurturing her own family. I know her spirit will still be watching over all of you.

I met and knew Kathleen through the SBDC satellite office in Schaumburg. She would come to do our audits and became a friend and lunch partner when visiting. Ursula Digman, Kathleen and I would cherish those times and look forward to hearing stories of her children and grandchildren which she adored. She has gone through health issues that have slowed her down but her sense of humor was intact. I was happy to attend a small gathering we had for her when she retired. I wasn't able to attend the wake but did make it to church today for the mass, however late. The eulogies were right on and heartfelt. My deepest sympathy to her husband, and family for your loss. I pray in time your sadness will become much Joy in all the memories you have of the time you shared in this life. God bless you all! Thank you Kathleen for the memories you gave me, Peace be with you!!!

Kathy was both of my sons' second grade teacher at St. Joe's just before it closed. My son, Bob, was in the last First Communion class with her. He was in the hospital for a week and Kathy came to visit him. I am thankful both my boys had her for their teacher. May God give you strength and peace during this difficult time.

Kathy was my daughter's teacher at St. Joe's in Wilmette. Such a nice lady . We recently connected with other people from St. Joe's for dinners occasionally. I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. May your faith, family and friends sustain you at this time .
