Happy 1st Birthday in Heaven Dear Uncle. I picture you with your mom and dad sharing peace and joy. And how proud of you they are. How I replay your laugh and words of encouragement down here. Miss you.

John was my Brother-in-law and good friend for over fifty years. He enjoyed being outdoors in the forest preserves. He had a love of Nature: dogs, birds, fish ponds, house plants, trees and gardens. He was a very kind and compassionate man. He had a great spirit and soul! I am missing his presence. It is an unspeakable loss for me and the world.
Love,
Zenon

Our dearest brother John joined our favorite people in heaven last week. He was born on a Sunday and went to our Lord on a Sunday.
A kinder more sensitive caring man never walked this earth.
He overcame many disadvantages and made his family proud. He served in the military, worked for the City of
Chicago and achieved home ownership, all on his own.
How I will miss you dearest Brother of mine.
Thank you for all the treasured memories of our times together....my children loved you and always looked forward to our visits together....
Saturdays with Svengoolie....
Bullfrog lake forest preserve walks and talks
How you loved nature and all
Gods´ creatures....
Our house hunting times...
Graceland trip.....
Holidays with your great nephews and all of your many many stories.....
How lucky we were to share all these times and now to treasure them as memories ....
I know you are walking again with little Tyke , Annie and Didi.
You always took such good care of them.....
I write this through eyes filled with tears ... happy tears , sad tears , unbearable grieve....
Thank you for every moment we spent together .... For being such a tender caring uncle to my children and grandsons ...
Oh... how you will be missed....
But you are free now and your earthly struggle is over. Rest and enjoy eternal peace. You trully earned it. Love u always,
You sister Mary

Our Uncle John was one of our blessings. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge, yet never a know it all. He would help in anyway at anytime, yet would never hold it over you. He would always listen, yet never interrupt. I´m so thankful to God for every moment, that are now beautiful memories of our times together. From Christmas and Holidays spent sleeping over, summers on the porch laughing, pizza in cold Chicago winters at your house. Your great nephews have wonderful stories of times spent in the city, at your homes, with your dogs, with your childhood stories and collections. Our hearts are broken. We miss you so very much. We know that you are at peace now. We love you and you will always be with us.

My Uncle John was a fun guy He was kind enough to write me letters when I was in boot camp and we shared a common love of nature whenever we saw each other. I will miss him

I haven't seen John in years, but his brother Vince was a childhood friend of mine and I knew the entire family.
My condolences to Vince and the rest of the family, as well as John's friends.

My parents (Ed and Stell Minieka) were friends with John's parents (Vince and Micki). May God and His saints comfort all of you in your sorrow.
