I was so lucky to grow up with Uncle Jim's humor, love, and support. I have very early memories of him watching me (try) to bowl! He was a part of every aspect of my life & I always felt that he was proud of me. The love that he had with Aunt Mary is one that Frankie and I strive for. I will never forget planning for our wedding with him and the family. No one will ever forget how he stepped on my wedding dress at the alter & his face afterward! We laughed... a lot! He was an incredible person and he has blessed my life. I feel so honored to have had him as an uncle. Frankie & I are a very lucky niece and nephew and we will forever share stories, pictures, and video of Uncle Jim with our little Ava, who has 2 of the best blood lines around, a Granato & a Wagner, just like our Aunt Mary & Uncle Jim. I know he will be with us all as our angel. I will miss him every single day.

To my Great Uncle Jim,
I'm only 3, but I knew in my heart how much you loved me. I will remember how you smiled at me when I would come for a visit. I will treasure my "Jimmy White Sox Bear" you gave me. I know you will guide me and keep me safe in my life. I wish I could have known you more, but I know you will continue to be with me.

My Uncle Jim will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget our many days playing golf together and our constant back and forth quoting lines from the Honeymooners and alot of late nights playing cards(eating pizza). And the one memory I will always have is the morning of my honeymoon where you waited all day in the hotel lobby to make sure vanessa and I had everything we needed and to wish us a safe trip. Until we meet "5 iron Jim". Love you, and show them how the bowling Wagner's do it in Heaven!!!!

Some of my good childhood memories are when my family got together with Uncle Jim and the rest of the Wagner clan, at Nana and Papa's or at Uncle Jim's place up the tall stairs on 26th Street. He was what a good uncle should be. It seems clear that he was greatly loved by all. Helen Ann and I will arrange for a Mass for Uncle Jm here in Virginia.

Happy Birthday Dad. Thank you for being the greatest Dad anyone can ever had. You have done so much for me and had always been there for me, and there had been many times. You always made me feel safe and very much loved. I hope I can make you proud by being a great son, father and husband just as you are. You always were and always will be my hero and the man I want to be. I miss you so much already and love you very much. John

Happy birthday papa! I love you so much and will always miss you . I am so proud to be your granddaughter and to have the honor of having your last name! You were an inspiration to me and truly great role model. You showed me so much unconditional love and I will forever be greatful. I am so lucky I was picked to share our lives together. You will always be so very special to me. Your kindness and patience was remarkable and everyday I will strive to try and be more like you even though I know I will never be as amazing as you. I'm deeply saddened that I won't have you to turn to through my obstacles to come but I know you will always be with me guiding me through the rest of my life. They really don't make people as good as you anymore! I'm greatful for all the memories you captured on video so I could have a constant reminder of you and us as a family together! You fought a hard fight and I only hope that I did you justice by trying to help take care of you the way you took care of me growing up! I would give anything to go back to those days! I only could wish my future children could have met you to experience what I did with you, hopefully they will before they come into the physical world. People who didn't know you really missed out on knowing the best guy, no one will ever compare! Wait for me up in heaven and put in a good word for me! I can not wait to be reunited with you. Never ending love forever and ever your first granddaughter, Brittany

My Uncle Jim will always hold a special place in my heart. As a kid, he always made me laugh and solidified a sense of extended family to me. I'm confident that he's wrapped comfortably in the arms of his brothers, Nana and Papa. Until we meet again. Love You. Your nephew, Christopher

We will miss my brother Jim, he was a wonderful brother, husband father and grandfather. He was funny, serious, and sometimes, as a brother, he always kept my back. He will be terribly missed and will be a constant in our prayers. Sis and Marty

You will certainly be missed and will always remain in our hearts!
Thank you for always being there for us, for being a fantastic uncle, brother in-law, but mostly for all those funny jokes and beautiful memories.
