I knew Jim as a frequent customer at the restaurant where I work. We had many friendly conversations, and though we didn't always agree with each other, I do think we had mutual respect. One of my favorite memories of Jim is that he called himself The Big Dog. He was very brave and determined when he started fighting the cancer, but in the past four months we all could see he was just losing steam. There are many things I admired about Jim, and maybe some personality traits that I would have liked to change. I guess we are all grateful that his suffering is over. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make his face to shine upon you, and may the everlasting peace of God's love, which defies all understanding, be carried in your soul for eternity.
