Brophy Sr., James C. 78, beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee O'Brien), loving father of Merlene Vulpitta, Arlene (Dan) Rychell, Bernadine (Robert) Makely, James Jr. (Diana) and the late Patrick, devoted grandfather of 15, great-grandfather of 23 and great-great-grandfather of two, dear brother of Glenn (Rose), LeRoy (Marilyn) and Menette Klein. Funeral Saturday, 10 a.m., at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Interment Mount Alburn Cemetery. My sincere condolences to the whole Brophy family. I am more grateful now that I got to see him at the family reunion last June. Such a wonderful, loving man will be greatly missed by all of us. Love and hugs for everyone.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I enjoyed sitting and talking with Jim last summer at our family reunion. It was a pleasure to get to know him and it was an honor to have him in our family. He will be missed.
