To Jack's family, My sincere sympathies on your loss! Jack helped me a great deal when I first started work at the American Medical Association. He was a gentleman but also very down to earth, and that was much appreciated. Ginny, you won't remember me but we met a few times at the AMA employee craft fairs, and I thought it was great that you and Jack enjoyed working together to make gourmet food delicacies for us to enjoy!

I had the immense pleasure of serving with Jack as co-chair 34Connect - a year long effort with District 34. Jack represented the best of Glenview - he was gracious, patient, optimistic, civic-minded and always helped keep our group focused on doing what was right for the kids and the community. I was indeed saddened to hear that Glenview has lost such an incredible man.

Jack was such a joy to work with and all of us at Ridgebrook Travel deeply mourn his loss. His love of life, his great cheer, his joy in sharing his travels, his pleasure in helping us and our clients plan our trips, but especially the love he reflected from his wonderful wife, children and grandchildren leave us all such rich memories of a wonderful man.
I will be in Mexico on the date of his service, but will be with you all in my thoughts.

Jack was a super person, who loved his family and community so very much. We will miss him desperately: " ... a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath bore me on his back a thousand times. This passion, and the death of a dear friend, would go near to make a man look sad." William Shakespeare (one of Jack's many great passions!). Our thoughts and prayers are with Ginny and the family. Bill, Beth, and Rose Coulson

Dear Ginny,
We just read about Jack's death, and send you our condolences. We have been dealing with our own tragedy, the death of our beloved daughter, Kara, this past November, so we can relate to the grief and pain you are having to cope with.
We first met Jack when he was precinct captain in the precinct we work in as election judges. He was such a charming man! We loved getting to know him and always enjoyed the goodies he brought in for us to munch on during the day, often baked by you, dear Ginny, if we remember correctly.
We remember fondly seeing the two of you walking around Indian Ridge. Our paths would occasionally cross when we, too, were out for a stroll.
We'll never forget him. We send you and your family our deepest sympathy.

I got to know Jack thru Rotary and always looked forward to our meetings so we could converse about many local and national issues. I will miss our conversation as well as his presence at our breakfasts.
Sincerest condolences to his family, we lost a great guy.

Ginny,
Scott & I were out of town when we heard about Jack. We are so sad for you, Christopher & Rhodi.

Jack was a wonderful person and a good friend. I'll always remember how much fun it was for Michael to come to work with me on snow days, etc. -- so he could "play" with Mr. Hotaling. Jack was "top shelf", gentle, funny, smart, considerate and so much more. He was loved by all and will be missed by everyone who ever met him.

Chris & Rhodi
I was very sorry to hear about your Dad. Jody gave me a call this morning. I will always remember your dad as a great supporter of Glenbrook South's Athletics and GBS Swimming.
