Herbert Zweig Obituary

WE WERE SO SADENED TO HEAR THAT HERB HAD PASSED AWAY. I ALWAYS KIBBUTED WITH HIM AT FESTIVAL, AS WE PLAYED TOGETHER IN SOUTH HAVEN, AS CHILDREN. OF COURSE, ZWEIGS WAS AN INSTITUTION. OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.

I graduated from Delano grammer school and Marshall high school with Herbie. I have very fond memories of him, and I am very sorry. It is like the end of an era.

I will miss Herbie and was very saddened to hear about his passing. Herbie and Marshall were my first bosses. They hired me when I was fifteen years old and were generous and instructive bosses. I learned a lot about the restaurant business and about handling people from watching them. And, of course, we had a lot of fun. Herbie, the food will be a lot better in Heaven!
