All,

I want you all to know how much I wish I could be there to support you. I have such wonderful memories of Herb that I will treasure my whole life. From the wonderful times at the home in Inverness while we were in HS, to Herb giving me my first job out of college. I will always remember what a hard working family man he was and will miss his dry sense of humor. May all of you rely on your faith during this time and know that he is in a wonderful place watching out for all of you. Much Love, Katie, Clint, Saralyn & Emery

Working with Herb has been a family affair. Burt began his management career while Herb was in MAHO as Asst Dir of Agencies. Sandy and I worked with Herb - 1st as agents, then along the way we got married, then as part of his management team - recruiting and training. We hold very fond memories of outings, conferences and agency functions - Herb knew how to treat people. A testament to Herb is how many of us are still in the insurance business today.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am sorry to hear of Herb Muehl passing. I worked with him in Palatine for eights years and always had good thoughts about him and was sorry when he did retire from Prudential back in 1992/93. He was a treasure and will be greatly missed. I am sorry I could not attend the wake. My deepest sympathy to all of the Muehl family.

Dear Ellie, Denise, Julie, Herb Jr. and Kevin,

I am sorry to hear of Herb's passing, if anyone earned his right and way into heaven it is him.

I still consider him the hardest working person I've ever known, he worked so passionately and lived his life so righteously for the benefit of his faith and family.

He always wanted and only knew to do the right thing and set a great example for all of us - he was a real stand-up guy.

With love and condolences,

We only met Herbert a few times through his son Herb Jr and his wife Cathy, he was a very nice man. Our fondest memory of him was going to his and Ellie's house on the lake for a celebration and watching him drive his boat in a parade. He was so proud of it. We were very sad to hear about his passing, but he will live on in his grand children and family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. Nothing can take away the pain and emptiness his passing has left as well as nothing can take away the memories that are in your hearts of him. May god be with you all.

I was very sorry to learn of Herb's passing. He was truly the best friend my uncle Mike Grace ever had. Herb never forgot to take time and visit my uncle even in his declining years. I will always remember him for doing that.

The "Derby" will never be the same without Herb and crew in attendance. Herb has now moved on to his eternal reward and has joined members of the KMA club in looking back down on all of the rest of us. Rest in peace Herb.

I was saddened when I read Herb's name in the obituaries this morning. My dad, Norbert Schmidt, was a scout member with Herb. He enjoyed getting the newsletter and occasionally getting together with the scouts. When my dad passed away, Herb had kind words to say about him and I really appreciated that. I'm sure Herb will be missed by many, many people. My condolences to Ellie and the rest of the Muehl family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

I had the privilege of meeting Herb in the military and we became good friends. Over the years, we continued our friendship by getting together every now and then with the Martinos' and O'Connors'to celebrate our times in the MP's. Herb was a kind and caring man. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. Jack & Karen Day

A old friend of mine has left us. He was a very good man and I am sorry he is gone. I was his Administrative Assistant in the old Ordinary Agencies in Chicago and knew just how good a man he was.

Herb was one of the most loyal, dedicated friends my father, Mike Grace, ever had. Whether it was taking my dad out for dinner at Hackney's or driving him to regular meetings with the scouts, Herb was a true friend to the end. I will always be grateful for his generous spirit. My sincere condolences go out to Ellie and the family.
