Mary and children, I am so sad to hear about George's passing. I have such great memories from when we were kids with you both. I am unable to be there with you, but my thoughts and prayers will be.

George has been a very dear friend of mine since childhood. He was our next door neighbor growing up on the Southwest side of Chicago. George had a great sense of humor and was so much fun to be around. He was always willing to lend a hand or offer his advice on anything. I worked for George's plumbing business as a teenager, and he was a great mentor and someone I looked up to. George was truly a gifted story teller. When he told a story, the characters came to life with so much emotion (with George dramatically acting out each role) and by the end of the funny stories, everyone was always rolling in laughter. During the last 20 years, we would meet George and Mary, along with other family members, up at my Mom's house in Spring Lake Michigan every August where we spent time fishing, storytelling, and enjoying time together. We thank God for the blessing and honor of having George's friendship and will forever treasure him and all of the great times we shared and the memories we made. Rest in peace George and rejoice with our Heavenly Father until we all meet again someday.
With Deepest Sympathy,

Our family has known George since we were young. Being the kid next door, I always looked up to him as a very close friend. He has always been easy to talk to and get along with, and if you ever needed anything he was always willing to help. He will be missed, especially at my mom's house in Spring Lake where we would get together. Rest in peace dear friend.
