To George, Jacki, Barb and Marilee, and all your families,
I'm so sad for your loss (and mine)--I was there in spirit with you all today. Even if I hadn't seen your dad in ages, I always felt the door was open at the house on Hawthorne Drive, and there was always a warm welcome, even decades after I left Orland Park...I have the best memories of him and your mom. I can't think of your dad without seeing a smile on his face. What a wonderful legacy he left, with so many grandchildren and great-grandchildren! What a treasure it was to grow up across the street from your family.
Hugs to all of you,
Cindy (Garrett) Dunn

My deepest sympathies to the entire family. And how many of you there are! ( See what you started, George?) I am hurting along with you.
George was such a big part of my childhood! I remember like yesterday the way he called me (1) A boy named Sue- (2) Colt- (because of my skinny legs and knobby knees) and of course the phrase "Here comes trouble!" which it what he usually said when I walked through the door. I loved that he let me come along with the family to go boating or to the stables to see the horse. Just too many things to remember for the space of this note. I have a feeling he is REALLY busy catching up with Laverne. Over coffee, I expect, which is how I will always remember them.
Please accept my hug across the miles and know I am with you in heart and spirit.
Love,
Susie Foster
