Loving brother of the late Rita (the late Julius) Zimmermann, Mary (the late Robert) Hopkins and Cpl. Joseph U.S. Army, devoted uncle of Patricia (Raymond) Goberville, Rita (Michael) O'Neill, Barbara (Richard) Schaar, Robert (Paula) Hopkins, Dr. Noreen (Dr. Mark) Sisko, Joseph (Sara) Zimmermann and Thomas (Janet) Hopkins.
