Dear Chioles family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. One never quite grows away from being adopted into Big G's Gale St. Inn family. Can't imagine the place without him.
See ya round my friend...

Love you George and Joan. Awesome people and very trusting. Great boss always a run for my money. George and Joan were together forever and he couldn't live without her. Maybe they roam the fields in heaven and open a Gale St. upstairs.

My deepest condolences to all the Chioles. I can't even remember all the things I learned from George. I do know that he is top on my list of "Great Bosses". What a guy! Wish I could be there to help celebrate his life and honor his memory. George was a good man.

I remember George from the Gale Street on the lake escourting me and my Mother to our table everytime we visited the resturant! He always had his greeting"Good evening Ladies and how are you doing this evening?" Always sweet, always helpful, always a smile on his face! Pete and Vicki, live out his dreams for many years to come. May God bless you all and keep you strong. George you are now with Joan and it is time to get going on that Gale Street in heaven!

"Often imitated, NEVER duplicated!"this was a sign George had in the restaurant- this quote defines George Chioles!

George gave many of us our start in the business world. He was generous with his time and knowledge. He taught me how to work hard AND have fun!

We are all better for having known this great man.

Words cannot express the sadness our family feels at this time losing "Uncle" George so soon after losing "Aunt" Joan. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Chioles family. I found out at a early age that Uncle George was one of the most kind and generous family members anyone could ever ask for. He always put everyone else first and truly conveyed his love for life! He has been an important person in my life, from when I first met David, at his & Uncle Mike's Landings Restaurant, where Uncle George welcomed this stranger (David, who had moved here from out of town), to his restaurant family and who soon after I married. And to all the wonderful memories with Uncle George at Gale Street Inn that we shared as the years went on and our family grew to three children. Our children absolutely adored Uncle George and couldn't wait until the next time we would see him! We will miss his wonderful and infectious chuckles, the smell of his cigars and all his funny anecdotes and words of wisdom. He is now with his beautiful wife and son and I'm sure he is bringing much laughter and joy in heaven as he did here on earth! We will miss you "Uncle" George --

Our sincere condolences to the families of George and Joan. I must be devastating to lose both parents in such a short time. We had known your parents for more than 30 years and will always remember them for their kindness and generosity to so many. We hope you find solace in knowing their's were lives well lived!

I worked for George in Mundeline. He was one of the nicest and heartwarming people I ever met. One Christmas I had had some very hard times and was a single parent of 3 and had no Christmas presents for my children. George gave me a Christmas bonus, that was asuprise when he found out my problem, and I was able to buy my children a present. He made my Christmas. RIP Gearge....you are in Heaven.
