Bev and family: Gary was such a strong and positive presence, no matter the setting or the circumstancs. He was the center of so many disparate groups and he naturally attracted people to him--look who he pulled in at the lock up at the '68 Democratic Convention!
What a privilege it has been to know Gary and Bev and the children--life changing.
Thank you, Gary, for the light you gave to the world--my world. We have all been enriched by knowing you.

Cousin Gary I will miss your phone call every January to wish me a happy birthday and ask me if I'm 12 years old yet.
You and Beverly are true inspirations. I always had the best time hanging out eating and drinking...
You also are the best pickle and tomato maker....Shalom

I have been honored to have Gary as a friend for 30+ years. The stories can go on forever but the character of Gary has been steedfast and sure. He is surely an optimist, one whose optimism is catchy and contagious to all who are around him. Even in his hospital bed, he was present to all those around him, with the desire to host others and share in the moment. Gary and Beverly are truely a loving couple who have been a model of respect in relationship and partnering. Gary I will truely miss you and love you and all the memories that are abound. You have provided me spiritual direction that has shaped my life.
