Tamara,
I am deeply saddened to learn of Van's death. On behalf of my family, please accept our deepest condolences. Van was truly a joy to know. I will cherish the memories of working with him as a carpenter as well as the laughs that we shared as friends. All the best to you and your family. Remain strong.

I am Andy Baran. I have not seen Van in 34 years. I moved to Israel but Van and his late brother George were close friends. When we were children Van played Baseball with me and I remember him as the kindest person who backed everyone all the time. I have thought of him many times here in Israel and am very sorry to hear he has passed.
