Age 86, beloved husband of Mary (nee Olkowski), loving father of Christine (Michael) Stajszczak and Maureen (Daniel) Gorski, proud grandfather of Michael (Tracy), Michelle (Alan), Meredith (Jeff) and Marie (Joe), great-grandfather of Tyler, Sydney, Elliot, Shelby, Lilly, Charlotte, Noah and baby Michael, caring brother of Chester (Theresa) Wodarczyk and Alfreda (George) Hobbs, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, March 6, 2010, 9:30 AM, from the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave. Tinley Park, IL., 60477, to St. George Church, Mass 10:00 AM. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Please accept our deep condolences. We have so many fond memories of Gene and you. We loved all of his stories as well as his advice to this then newly married couple.
