Elena Weil Obituary
Ellie, age 86, passed away on February 26th, 2022 at her home in Evanston, IL. Born in Brooklyn, New York on June 18th 1935 to Mary and Peter DeNatale, she was the eldest of their ten children and attended Albertus Magnus College. Beloved wife of the late Richard Weil, loving mother of Ken Mick, Missie (Mitchell) Bender, Laura DeNatale (Paul Howard) and the late Monica Mick. Adored grandmother of Zachary (Juila) Cohen, Jenna Cohen (Brian McLeran), Alexandra Cohen, Sarah Mick, Robert Mick (Emily Close) and Emily Mick and great grandmother of Lauro, Mable and Del. Preceded in death by her parents, daughter Monica and siblings Ann, John, Jim and Andrew. Survived by siblings Joe, Peter, Natalie, Robert, Mary, many nieces and nephews and friends. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lake Forest, IL at a later date. Memorial Donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

I have many wonderful childhood memories of my cousin, Ellie. Seven years older than me, she was sweet, kind and fun, making her a perfect role model for me. My condolences to all who knew and loved her.

More than anything, my mom loved spending time with family and friends. She had a special way of connecting with people. It was so wonderful to see her thrive and enjoy her life at The Merion among so many friends and staff that she cared deeply for, and who cared deeply for her. I feel extremely grateful to have spent so much time with her over the past several years, and will cherish the many loving and funny memories of our time together as mother and daughter, and as friends. May she rest in piece and enjoy all those kookala parties with her family in heaven!
