Dear Mitzen family. My heart goes out to each and every one of you. You did not know me but I knew all of you and how much you all meant to Ed. He was a dear friend of mine. I am so sorry. I have e-mailed him and never received a response. I knew something was wrong, if only I knew and I could have seen him in the hospital. I will miss him dearly, would love to speak with one of the daughters to find out details and if I could see him in cemetary.

I meet Ed when I was about 11, when he became friends with my mom. He always encouraged me and my brother (Leo) that we could anything. He was truly a good man. He will be missed by our entire family.

To The Mitzen Family

Ed was a dear person to me. He helped me to go back to school and care for my children after my divorce. I always loved him and will always cherish our time together. He sang at my daughter's wedding and has been a great role model for my son. We will miss him.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire Mitzen family for your loss.





My thoughts and prayers are especially with Neal and Marilyn Kirshenbaum who are as dear to me as Eddie was to them.





Time is the best healer. Take it in one day>increments.

Our deepest sympathy at the loss of our cousin Eddie. I will always remember how anxious and excited my father was when Eddie visited him in Florida. I'm sure they are together beeming at the families they left behind.

Dear Family Members of Eddie Mitzen:

Eddie was my first boyfriend when I was 12 years old. Our relationship turned into a great friendship up until the time he entered the final stage of the hospital. He shared many personal and confidential matters that arose over the years in our lives. Our friendship continued throughout the years. I don't think anyone understood him as well as I did. Most people live a lifetime and cannot ever say that they had a friendship as we did.

Unfortunately, after I read his obituary today, with deep regrets, I could not attend the service in time. He will be greatly missed.

To My Dear Cousins and Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Neal, I have fond memories of Uncle Eddie and remember the great times my Dad had with him every year down in FL. Dad loved him so much. They had quite a brotherly bond. I am so glad that he made the trip to NY to attend our wedding. I will miss him greatly. Much Love, Sheila

It is 3:00 in NJ and my thoughts and heart are with you as you put your beloved father and brother to rest. Eddie was very special in my life from the age of 16. I loved him and his love for all people and his zest for life. May his beautiful memory comfort you in the days to come.

Please accept my condolences. I met Ed when I was a teenage girl visiting my friend Zenice and listening to him talk insurance. I was fortunate to have met him. He was a good man.

One of my personal favorite memories of all time involves Eddie, when he bought the place in Bay Colony.We talked about it at ThanksGiving and went looking right after that. It was the first Real Estate sale I ever made and we had a blast looking at different properties. I bet he and my Dad are already up there kibitzing and having fun.
