Edward Kelly Obituary

Kelly, Edward J. "Eddie" Age 59, was a true south side Irishman who enjoyed fishing, history, debating politics and the Chicago White Sox. A member of the BPAA and unofficial alumni of CFD Engine 39. He was an outstanding self-taught chef who enjoyed preparing meals for his family, but what made him happiest was doting on his precious Mary, hanging out with his son and best buddy, Danny, and laughing with the love of his life, Nancy. Devoted husband and best friend of Nancy (nee Sava) for over 32 years; beloved father of Mary Caitlyn Kelly and Daniel J. Kelly; cherished son of the late Joseph, Ret. Lt. CFD, and the late Jean Kelly; fond brother of Joseph, CPD (the late Carol), Nancy (Jim) Ferenzi, Michael (Debbie) Kelly and Susan (the late John) McCann; and brother-in-law of Janice Goldsmith, Mark (Sandra) Sava, Joyce Sava and Paula (Tim) Banks; fun-loving uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation Wednesday 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien. Friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m Thursday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 8404 S. Cass Ave., Darien for the funeral mass. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery.
