Julius and Lorraine Brueckert
September 10, 2007
Dear Mr. Forbes, Julius and I have just returned from Lake Geneva. Getting caught up on our Tribune reading, we were deeply saddened to learn that Mrs. Forbes has passed away. Mrs. Forbes was a charming, beautiful lady and both Julius and I were very fond of her. You and Mrs. Forbes were wonderful as "president" and "first lady" of The Tav. We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Sincerely, Lorraine Brueckert.(Mrs. Julius Brueckert). P.S. Julius worked at The Tavern Club for 40 years and I was there for 33 years, at that time I was Lorraine Dezik. We retired in 1996.

I cherish my memory of Dorsey during the early days of television. We were part of an early evening show on channel seven. She presented her wonderful home-making tips... including her famous clothes hanger creations... and I followed her with my weather forecast, standing behind a big plate glass window with the outline of the U.S. on it. Her 'ribbing' and warm encouragement as I struggled to write backwards on the map with a felt tip pen helped me overcome my TV jitters. To you who survive her, please know that she was a respected and greatly admired lady. We all loved her, too.
