I was just stumbling through the Sullivan's Law Directory and discovered Ms. Claire Rosen Edes passed away, I just want to give my sympathy. She took a chance on me by giving me my first secretarial job right out of High School, she was sweet and nice. Thanks

I was very sorry to find that Claire had passed away. I sent her a holiday card and it was returned with the sad news. Claire was a business associate and friend of my father, Dino Pigoni. She came to my rescue when I needed legal services. For her expertise and kindness I will always be grateful. We used to have dinner together on a regular basis but lost track of each other over the last few years. For that I am dismayed as she was wonderful company. May God continue to bless her and her family. With deepest sympathy, Nancy Pigoni

I worked in the same office with Claire while working for Tim Whiting. I am currently in law school and in Constitutional Law (I'm actually on break from that class right now). There was passing mention of the Shah of Iran and I immediately thought of Claire. Claire, Tim Whiting, and I went out for a holiday dinner and Claire shared some amazing stories about her life in the law and more. I remember her extraordinary story about the time she spent with the Shah. How cool! She was a truly great woman and I will never forget her - even-though my time with her was limited. She is truly an inspiration.

I initially met Claire through her niece, Valerie Wisch. It was a privilege having known Claire for the past six years. That she made formidable professional and societal contributions is a given. However, what I will remember most about Claire is the mischevious twinkle in her eye and her zest for life. Aunt Claire, you will be missed.

I know Claire as an outstanding labor lawyer with whom I had negotiated several collective bargaining agreements over the years. She for labor and I for management. The last one that we worked on together was three years ago or so and she was her usual sharp quick witted self. She represented her clients well and knew how to get a deal done. She was tough but always pleasant. I always admired her zeal for life and love for what she did. I know that she had to be an inspiration to her family and she certainly was to me. I am truly sorry for your loss. Elaine

You were my loyal friend for 36 years. You extended your hand to many and enriched all who knew you. My grief is outweighed only by my happy memories of all the dinners and thought provoking conversations we shared.
Tears, joy, sadness, gratitude.

Dear Nik and family,
I am truly sorry to learn of the loss of my favorite Aunt Claire. She was called by G-d on POP's yahrzeit, 29 Tishrei (35 years later). It's unbelieveable that she and my mom passed within 8 days of each other.
She was ALWAYS interested in my career and my additional educational classes at Gratz College.
She was truly a woman of valour and will be missed by all of us.
Love,
Lynne

Aunt Claire was loved by her family in Philadelphia. She remained very close to us even after Uncle Sam passed away. I will miss talking to her.
