Charlotte McCourt Obituary

McCourt, Charlotte Beven Resident of Evanston and North Palm Beach, Florida, died February 4, 2014 at Evanston Hospital. Her family had surrounded her on January 25 to celebrate her 89th birthday. Wife of the late James P. McCourt, retired Associate Judge of Cook County Circuit Court; mother of Patrick (Rita) of Evanston, Sean (Jane) of Chicago, Brian of Arlington Heights, and Kevin (Jennifer) of Excelsior, MN; grandmother of 13, Katharine (Bryan) Rutherford, Colin (Stephen) Bueche, Keely, Kerry, Michael, Sean Cleland, James, Sean Patrick, Mollie, Brian Jr., Sarah, Charlotte, Lauren; great-grandmother of Grace Louise Rutherford. She was preceded in death by her sister, Adele O'Brien and her brother, Jack Beven. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Irene Ferrick and Jean McCourt. Proud graduate of The Academy of the Sacred Heart, Sheridan Road, Chicago, and Rosemont College, Rosemont, PA. Long-time volunteer in several ministries of St. Nicholas Parish, Evanston, St. Nicholas School and its successor, Pope John 23 School, Evanston. Visitation at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 22, St. Nicholas Church, 806 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, prior to funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pope John 23 School Scholarship Fund, 1120 Washington Street, Evanston, IL 60202.
