Dearest Charlie,

Your mail's open til Feb. 14, so I want to ask you to be my Special Valentine this year. It's on a Friday, so we can meet at the Bubs and exchange little heart candies that say things like "yours forever." I'll always remember your sweetness. Within you and without you. Love, Susie

I know Chuckie from my brother Mike Hogan. For many years as I was growing up, I saw Chuckie as much as my brother - it was always Mike, Chuckie and John O'Neill. He always looked out for me and had a smile. I had not seen him for many years and it was wonderful to see him when Mike died 2 years ago, he was a pallbearer, too. I am sorry so much time passed and my children did not get to know him the way my husband, Jerry, and I did. He always made us laugh and was a wonderful person. He will be missed and those who did not experience his presence will not know what a wonderful person was missing from their lifes.

May God be with the Worman family and Chuckie will always be smiling down from heaven on us all.

To Chas' Family & Many Friends,

Remember Chas with a smile and laughter. And if you need to cry... cry for others, who walk in grief beside you. And when you need him, put your arms around anyone and give to them what you want to give to Chas. Look for him in the people he's known, or loved, or helped in some special way. Let him live in your eyes as well as in your mind. You can love him most, by letting love live within the circle of your arms, embracing the frightened and sad ones. Love doesn't die, people do...So when all that is left of him is love, give him away as best you can.

Those we love never leave us.

Back in the day...of the B.C. Tap, I first met Chas. Nice guy, wait, really nice guy. Always smiling, I can see it now. Tuesday nights were pool league and I bought T-shirts for our team. Chas was a Helluva shooter! And he wore that shirt every Tuesday, because he was proud and I am proud and privileged to have known him, my bud Chas...

A sad farewell to a great guy & a great athlete. Chas came back from his brush with death on the El an even nicer guy with a great outlook on life. He fought hard to live and deserved many, many more years on this earth. It proves the old saying: "the good die young". Until that time, Chas!

I've always look forward to seeing Chas when I return to Chicago during the summer, he never fails to make me laugh and feel good. When we were younger, he did the same, on and off the playing field, where Chas laughed and played the way he lived---full of life, full of heart. I will miss Jr. everytime I step into the Bubble and don't hear: 'Hey Burr, when did you get in? What are you having?" I'm sure I'm not alone feeling the enormous loss I'm feeling now, he was one of the most colorful, friendly guy to bless our neighborhood, he will truly be missed by all. I know I will miss him laughing and telling tales of old times, that's how I will always remember him. Bye for now Jr.
