My encounter with Carolyn was brief yet so memorable at Chicago State University. I followed her career with keen interest. Her pen has been stilled far too soon. My warmest condolences to her family.

Carolyn and I were childhood friends who walked to school together and our families shared many events. Although it was many years ago I can still recall the fun we had going together with her family to a distant church. May beautiful memories soon bring you peace. Know that the Conrads remember and share your sorrow. Barbara Conrad Moore (Chicago, IL)

A few of us from the rainbow Readers Book Club met Carolyn only recently at a reading at the DuSable Museum . She was scheduled to be our very special guest at our book club meeting on April 17th. It is indeed a shocker to learn of her passing and our heartfelt condolences goes out to her family and friends. May her soul rest in peace.

I met Carolyn at a Coffey house in Hyde Park Where she was a member of a group called "Our Thing" the members of which are mostly dead.
I would like to know where and when the memorial will be.
