When I moved to Chicago from England one hot summer many years ago, Barbara was one of the people who made me feel right at home. Full of life and laughter, walking barefoot through the streets of Beverly. That's how I remember her.

Barb was a fellow Mogther McAuley classmate of mine. I have nothing but fond memories of her. Barb was a beautiful, sweet and fun-loving soul. I am heart-broken over this very sad news. She was taken too soon and far too young. I am sending prayers to her family, her husband and most especially to her children. My very deepest sympathies to all who loved Barb. May God rest Barb's beautiful soul xoxoxo

When I first met Barbara, we became friends instantly. Her tenacity, smile and laughter brightened the times we shared. Her passing is a loss indeed but her spirit and memories will live forever. Tonight I will say a prayer that Barbara would recite to me in Spanish, which always ended in laugher and a big hug.

My deepest sympathy to Dan, Vincent and Danielle – she loved each of you unconditionally and with such conviction.

Condolences to the families she was a part of and the friends who became her family.

I love you, Barbara, and will always have you in my heart.

When I was three Barbara entered my life as my stepmother although she always introduced me as her daughter. Through the early years of her and my father's marriage I wasn't always open to her or the idea of having another mom. I gave her many hard times and struggles having to raise me. But with the strong lady she was she always kept me in my place. It wasn't until the past two years that me and her began a true relationship, not just as a mother and daughter but as friends too. I grew to realize that she was the one who always had my best interest at heart even though I didn't always agree. Sadly now that it came to this, Barbara left my life as a mother and will always be in my heart as that.

My heartfelt condolences to the Cherrys, Marzanos and their extended families. The times I shared with Sweet Barbara, Joey V. and "the crew" were some of the best of my life! The laughter was a special thing with Barb... we could look across a room, not saying a word, but knowing... and laughing until we lost our breath. And she was always, a breath of fresh air. God Bless you all and thank you, Barb.

A part of me was taken when Barb was called by the angels. My heart goes out to Danny, Danielle, & Vince. Barb and I were best friends for almost 40 years; which we shared many laughs and happiness in our lives. Barb, Patty (Dalton) Dart, and myself developed a special friendship that will be cherished forever. The Cherry family was always like a second family to me. Once Barb married Danny, I was fortunate to develop friendship with the Marzano family. A part of me will never be the same without Barb. Now Barb is in heaven reunting with her family and friends that the angels called ahead of her.
