Tony, all the years that you live with Aunt Shelly and Uncle Henry were really fun. I remember playing NBA on the playstation and joining them basketball tournaments at McGuane. Me and you always killed. You had that killer 3 and them crazy moves. I also used to go up to Boyce and watch you play baseball and i even used to play sometimes. You were always awesome at sports. As I grew older iv'e always wanted to be just as good as you were at sports. Even now i still hear about how you used to hit the most homeruns out of Little League. We had lots of fun together. But you can count on one sure thing, and that is that I will be as good as you one day. You also taught me to never give up and I won't. Take care

Tony,
Words cannot express how sad I am, I love you like my own little brother. My heart aches for you, Stevie, your mom, Henry, Tami, Cathy, Shelly & the girls. I can’t stop thinking about how much fun it was growing up with the Otero Family. I am truly blessed to have been touched by your life. The memories of you trying to trick me into doing your homework, instead of helping with it, :) playing that Family Feud game and you were the one who knew all the answers, Me, you, Stevie & Rachel crammed in the twin bed watching T.V.,
Mr. Sub/Whopper days, proudly watching you excel at every sport, your smile, your laugh and so many more memories will stay in my heart forever. Thank you, for the hug last time I seen you, it means more to me than you can ever imagine. Rachel loves her Uncle Tony very much and we will miss you greatly. May you forever feel God's comfort and grace all around you.
All our love,
Alicia & Rachel

During the years I worked at Boyce/Graham, I had many positive experiences with the park district and the kids of Canaryville. Tony truly played an integral role in the experiences that shaped my memories. Rain or shine, he was there on a daily basis. If a day or two went by and we did not see him, we would be scratching our chins wondering where he was. When I think of those times I smile, and it is because of kids like Tony. He was super funny (always making everybody laugh), helpful, and an active participant in park activities. And talented...HE HAD SOME SERIOUS ATHLETIC TALENT!! I will never forget his good character, laugh, or goofy grin. While I realize there is nothing I can do or say to ease your pain during this difficult time, know that my thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. Hopefully you can find comfort in knowing that Tony has been granted eternal peace. There is a perpetual light shining on him...and his smile can still be seen and his laugh can still be heard.
