Anthony Michalak Obituary
Anthony Michalak, 83, passed away on November 16, 2021. Tony was a loving husband of 57 years to Frances, née DiGangi. Cherished son to parents that predeceased him, Joseph and Anna, née Gandurski. He was the loving father of Tony (the late Coleen), Tom (Joy), Joanne (Joe) Witek, Jeanne (Dave) DeLorenzo. Cherished grandpa of Jake, Jenna (Nick), Joey, Courtney, Kylie, Gianna, Max, Nina, Gillian, and Nicholas. Proud Dzia Dzia of Emery. Brother of Mary (the late John) Szaflarski, the late Joseph (Judy), John (the late Rita), and Richard (Anne). Son-in-law of the late Charles and Magdalene, née Dalfonso, DiGangi; Brother-in-law of Charlotte (Jerry) Jarosik, Magdalene (Ron) Badon, the late Carl (the late Sue) DiGangi, and Joe (the late Linda) DiGangi. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tony served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. Worked at AT&T for 43 years. He was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and Notre Dame Football. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren at all their activities. He was also a long time parishioner at St. Daniel the Prophet Church, where he participated in the Parent Club and was on the Finance Committee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the American Heart Association. Visitation for Anthony will be on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Prayers will be on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 10:30 AM, at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM at St. Daniel the Prophet Church, 5318 S. Nashville Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 Archer Rd, Justice, IL 60458.
