Alan Bramson Obituary
Alan S. Bramson, CPA, of Glenview, Illinois, passed away suddenly on December 23, 2022. Alan was born on August 22, 1941, to Jack and Leone (nee Gardner) Bramson, in Chicago, Illinois. Alan graduated from the University of Illinois, in Urbana, IL, in 1964, and served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. Alan was a partner at the Laventhol and Horwath accounting firm, until it closed. Alan is survived by his spouse Phyllis (nee Halperin) Bramson, his brother Scott B. Bramson (Marta), his nephews Jeremy L. Bramson (Jamie) and Joshua L. Bramson (Lyssa) and grand-nieces Layla and Julia, as well as his sister-in-law Lissa Schwartz, his nieces Heather Schwartz (Bryan), Anna Schwartz (Nathaniel) and Sarah Schwartz and his grand-niece Ava and grand-nephews Asher, Lior and Max. Service Friday, January 6th at 2 PM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Road) Skokie. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601, www.lung.org. I was a good friend of Alan during our years in college at the University of Illinois. We lived down the hall from each other in the residence halls. I knew his wife Phyllis who was also attending the U of I at that time. We were in Army ROTC together and went to the military ball at the student union together. Last saw Al and Phyllis in Chicago in the early 80s. I'll remember him and his great sense of humor fondly,
