Dylan Boyter Obituary

Dylan Hayes Boyter, 20, of The Woodlands, Tx, was called home on November 8, 2022.

He blessed the lives of his family when he was born on December 30, 2001, in Dallas, Tx. From that moment on, Dylan brought joy into the lives of anyone blessed enough to know him. He is known for his incredible wit, his ability to make everyone feel welcomed and included, and for his intelligence and ability to carry on thought-provoking conversations. He knew how to brighten a room and keep everyone laughing.

Dylan and his younger brother, Clayton, had a special bond and spent hours watching movies, talking about their favorite books, playing video games and, most of all, talking about and supporting each other in their love for band, playing their instruments and music.

He had a heart for animals and absolutely adored his two rescue dogs, Spice and Lucy.

Dylan was a Euphonium Performance Major at The Butler School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin. His passion for music and performing was inspiring. As a two-time All-State musician in high school, Dylan knew that he had to carry his passion for music into his future life. His professor and the friends he made in his college music studio remember him as a kind person with a remarkable intellect and an uncommon depth of thought who would make them chuckle at his wit and challenge them to consider music in a fresh way.

Dylan was blessed with a special group of friends. They spent many hours hanging out and bonding over games and movies. He loved good literature and obscure, well-made movies. He is remembered for his sweet nature, kindness and humor. He was chosen as funniest male in his high school class of 2020 at College Park High School.

He is survived by his mother, Janan Boyter, and his brother, Clayton Boyter, of The Woodlands, Tx; his father, Rayce Boyter, of Humble, Tx; his Nana, Mary Boyter, of Richardson, Tx, as well as a loving extended family.

A Celebration of Life honoring Dylan will be held on December 19, 2022, at 1:00 pm at WoodsEdge Community Church, 25333 Gosling Road, Spring, Tx 77389, in the Pavilion Building. Reception at WoodsEdge to immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the "Dylan Boyter Memorial Fund" in the Butler School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin. Donations may be made at: https://give.utexas.edu/?menu=OGPCFDBMF Phone 512-471-6468 for additional information.
