February 18, 1939 - September 19, 2024

William J. Bau, 85, of Beaver Dam passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Arcadia Assisted Living in Beaver Dam.

William was born on February 18, 1939, in Milwaukee to Chauncey and Genevieve (Leary) Bau. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1960 – 1964 where he was stationed on the USS John Marshall submarine. Bill was married to Emilie Gempeler on May 2, 1992. He was employed as an electrician for many years until his retirement. Bill was a wonderfully kind person with a great sense of Irish humor.

Bill is survived by his wife Emilie; Bill's children: Charles, Margaret, and Anthony; two grandchildren; stepchildren: Paul, Susan, Steven, and David; ten step-grandchildren; and further survived by a wonderful friend Steven.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Michael; and a sister in infancy.

It was Bill's wish that no formal funeral services be held and cremation is to take place.
