Heidi Lynn Adams, 61, of Hudson, died on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.
Heidi was born on August 3, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of Jerry and Janet (Froning) Ohm. She attended Central Christian College in McPherson, KS, where she met her husband, Louie Adams. After receiving her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa, Heidi decided to operate a home daycare, which she continued to run as long as her health allowed. She was most proud, however, of her own children with Louie and their accomplishments.
Heidi is survived by her husband, Louie; children: Emily and Noah Adams; grandson, August Adams; brothers: Chad Ohm of Lane County, OR, Joel Ohm of Gig Harbor, WA, and Lon Ohm of Graham, WA; and sisters: Melanie Ohm of Tempe, AZ, and Sarah Berriman of Walker, MI.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Hudson Fire Department with visitation one hour prior. Inurnment at Garrison Cemetery.
Memorials will be designated at a later date and may be directed to the family.

Heidi´s Family, I worked with Heidi at Elk Run Elementary. She brought that Smile everyday and Funny Sense of Humor. Her Job as a Special Needs Paraeducator required her to be Hands On and Present At All Times. She Was A "Champ"!! A Special Soul Who Will Be Missed. Maggie Petersen
