Charles Miles Obituary

SFC, U.S. Army (Ret.)
Departed this life on September 22, 2024. He was born on October 15, 1940 to the late James LeAnder Miles, Sr. and Nellie Ellen Curtis Miles in Mechanicsville, MD. Charles attended the Benjamin Banneker School in Loveville, MD and joined the Army in 1958. His U.S. Army career spanned 23 years until his retirement in 1982. He worked an additional 20 years as a heavy-duty mechanic at the Bolling AFB in Washington, DC until his final retirement in 2002. Fondly remembered by his daughter Karen S. Miles, son-in-law Philip I. Holt Jr. and granddaughter Andrea R. Walker. Two siblings, Laura Miles Frederick; Mary A. Evans and brother-in-law Robert Warren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on October 3, 2024. Visitation at 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2210 Callaway Street, Hillcrest Heights, MD 20748.
