Mary "Janie" Birmingham

Mary Jane (Janie) Birmingham, 74, died May 24th after a short struggle with stage IV metastatic lung cancer. Janie declined treatment to have a quality of life to be with her friends and family. Janie was born in Oklahoma City, August 21, 1947. Where she attended and graduated from Bishop McGuinness High School. Later, she attended Oklahoma State University. She moved to Tulsa where she married Tom Birmingham. They moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1997, where she was employed in administrative positions in the medical field. Janie and Tom returned to Tulsa in 2017 and settled in the Brookside area where she lived until her passing. Happy and funny, caring and loving were Janie's trademark qualities. Her passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her. Survivors include her husband Tom of the home, her son Lance Lihou of Tulsa and a daughter Dori Galloway of Tulsa, her step daughter Lara Stoltze of Henderson, NV and step son Ted Birmingham of Rockport, Texas and granddaughters Addison Goldberg of Chicago, IL and Spencer Goldberg of San Diego, CA, Tayler Weldy of Webb City, MO, and Devinn Weldy of Jasper, MO.
