Marjorie Kennedy Obituary

Marjorie Elizabeth Kennedy, affectionately known to her loved ones as Marge or Honey, passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on February 7, 1945, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Marge was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. She grew up and lived most of her life in Garwood, NJ. She departed from this world in Brick, New Jersey, after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and joy.

She is survived by her son, David Bonney and his wife Nicole; her daughter, Lynn Patzwa; her sister, Ruth Kennedy; and her brother, Richard Kennedy. Marge was a proud grandmother to Allison and Andrew Patzwa, who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her loving partner, John Goodell; her parents, Marjorie and Frank Kennedy Sr.; her brother William "Bill" Kennedy; sister-in-law Eileen Kennedy; brother Frank Kennedy Jr.; and her infant daughters, Sharon and Cheryl Bonney.

Throughout her career, Marge served as a dedicated secretary and office manager for various companies, including Baumann Time Recorder, Time Recorder Associates, Print Tech, and PMSI Direct. Her work ethic and organizational skills were unparalleled, earning her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Marge was deeply committed to serving her community. She volunteered for numerous organizations and in 2000, she was honored to serve as president of the Kenilworth Rotary Club. After her well-deserved retirement, Marge continued to give back, volunteering and working at Special Strides in Monroe, NJ, where her contributions made a significant impact on those around her.

Marge's interests and passions were many and varied. After relocating to Brick in 2018, she discovered a newfound love for golf, quickly becoming an integral part of the Women's Golf Association in Lions Head South. Her skill and sportsmanship were only matched by her enthusiasm, leading her to become the Treasurer of the Lions Head South Country Club. Marge's friends were an essential part of her life, and she cherished the many lifelong connections she maintained throughout the years.

Her hobbies were a testament to her love for life and learning. Marge enjoyed reading, crocheting, and engaging in activities such as shuffleboard, bocce ball, bowling, and puzzles. She approached each with the same joy and vigor that she brought to every aspect of her life.

Marge's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those she touched, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her laughter, wisdom, and joy will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Marjorie Elizabeth Kennedy's life was one of purpose and generosity-a life truly well-lived. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the memories of her beloved family and friends.
