September 4, 1931 - September 28, 2024
Garner, North Carolina - Jewel Poole Mangum, 93, passed away Saturday surrounded by her loving family. A native of Wake County, she is the daughter of the late Mortimer and Myrtle Bagwell Poole.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Highland Baptist Church, Raleigh. Burial will follow at the Bagwell Cemetery.
Jewel is survived by her husband of 75 years, Royelle Mangum; daughter, Sue Clements and husband, Ken; sons, Tommy Mangum and wife, Jeannie, Bret Mangum and wife, Felicia, all of Garner; sisters, Marilyn Pergerson and husband, Wes Patterson of Carolina Beach, Lynda Watkins and husband, James of Anderson Creek; brother, Tim Poole of Raleigh; 10 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Poole and brother, Van Proctor Poole.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.

Jewel was a wonderful lady. I had the pleasure of meeting her in her square dancing days. She was fun, loving, and very wise. She will be missed by many. Prays and hugs to her family. Love Nancy Merschat
