Billy Doom Obituary

Billy Joe Doom, 82, of Kuttawa, passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at Salem Springlake Health Center. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He loved exploring our country's vast and varied terrain on motorcycle, boating on Lake Barkley, UK Basketball, and spending time with his granddaughter.

Survivors include one son, Joey Doom & wife, Stephanie, Lexington; two sisters, Betty Sanders & husband, Don, Nashville, Tennessee; Ramona Engler & husband, Herschel, Eddyville; one brother, Jimmy Ray Doom & wife, Sue, Eddyville; one granddaughter, Sarah Doom, New York, New York; and several nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Imogene Polk Doom.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, at Lakeland Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Davis officiated. Burial with military honors followed at Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.
