Sherry O’dier Prevatte, 63, of Lumberton, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at River’s Edge Assisted Living after an extended illness.
Sherry was a beloved aunt who shared many special memories with her nieces spending time in their younger years playing “Barbies” and singing songs. Sherry had a beautiful voice and a great sense of humor. Although leading a very private life, she was a delight to all that knew her with a kind soul and gentle spirit that will be missed forever.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Sherill Dewitt Prevatte and Elsie Lewis Prevatte; and a sister, Laura Lewis Prevatte.
She is survived by her siblings, Lisa Prevatte Risen (Chad) of Lumberton, Susan Lynn Prevatte of Fairmont and Mark William Prevatte of Orrum; nieces, Kiley Grace (Zach), Jade Suggs, and Emma Risen; a great nephew, Harrison Grace; and a very special longtime friend for over 30 years, Graham Nye.

Services will be private at a later date.
