Carol McCormack Obituary

Niantic - Carol Weagle McCormack, 80, of Niantic, died Sept. 14, 2023, at the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.

She was born in Worcester, Mass., Aug. 25, 1943, the daughter of George and Muriel Engle Weagle. She is a graduate of East Lyme High School and a graduate of Manchester Community College. She was the wife of 63 years to James McCormack who survives her.

Carol loved to travel the United States and Canada, in their RV, with her family and fur baby Elvis.

She also had an amazing talent and passion for sewing for others.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Tammy Fairbanks (Bruce); son James McCormack (Tammy); three grandchildren, Westley Fairbanks, Victoria and Jocelyn McCormack. She was predeceased by her daughter Dana McCormack; brothers, Gordon and Ronald Weagle; sister Nancy Mitchell.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic.
