Winston Michel Sr. Obituary

Winston Paul Michel Sr., age 81, a lifelong resident and business owner of Pierre Part, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. He was always willing to help his friends in need. He enjoyed traveling, country music, football, fishing, hunting, and being a champion at ping pong. What he loved most in the world was spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Audrey Landry Michel; daughter, Paula Michel Lambert; son, Winston Paul Michel II (Bridget); three grandchildren, Bliss Lambert Broussard (Shawn), Grant Lambert (Angelle), and Katie Marie Michel; three great-grandchildren, Adalia, Reya, and Sutton Broussard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thirsteen Gaudet Michel and Wilmer "Pip" Michel; grandson, Jacob Joseph Michel; great-grandson, Sven Eliot Broussard; and two beloved uncles, Gilday and Leland Gaudet. The pallbearers Grant Lambert, Shawn Broussard, Mervin LeBlanc, Ray Blanchard, Curtis Breaux, Tony Aucoin, Chris Landry, and Troy Landry; along with honorary pallbearers, Todd Lakey, Paul Lakey, Sandy Gaudet, and Kirk Blanchard. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 for 9:00 am at Ourso Funeral Home with funeral services to begin at 1:00 pm in Pierre Part. Interment to follow at St. Joseph the Worker Church Mausoleum. Pastor Norris Landry will be officiating.
