My sympathy goes to Ike´s family. I am so sorry for your loss. I lived down the street from him in Crestwood. We went to school from Elementary through high school. He was so much fun to be around and thoughtful of others. So glad I was able to see him at our 40th high school reunion! Enjoyed reminiscing when we were kids.

Jamalyn, Meredith and Lee Andrea, and family. I am so sorry for your loss, Bet Ike knew it was time to go, but he didn´t go alone, when he saw that beautiful blue star in the sky June was there smiling at him and took his hand to show him the way, when they got home they sat in the garden of many lights, God met them and gave Ike a plate. Overflowing with fried chicken potato salad and grease beans , mmm , Ike was graced with all the ones gone before him , he is full now and will watch over you Jamalyn, Meredith, Lee Andrea, Gwen and Pepper and all of you, We will meet again my friend and Yes say hi to Mark, Jan Lundquist from Fort Worth

Dear Morton family,
I knew Ike over the years through Jamalyne. She and I have been childhood friends for 60+years. On occasion we'd all get together however, mostly Jamalyne filled me in on his many successes and their adventures. More importantly Jamalyne shaped a picture of him as a father, husband and friend to many. I am so sorry for your devastating loss. Love, Colleen

I met Ike at try outs for little league baseball in Fort Worth. He was a guy that was quick to laugh and easy to be around. He worked with me in high school putting packages together for less fortunate kids in a program called Good fellows. I always enjoyed being His friend and doing things together for fun and adventure. I will miss his humor, and physical presence while he was here and know I will see him again in the Kingdom of God.

I extend my prayers and condolences to Ike´s family. I remember Ike the best as a side-armed pitcher in Little League Baseball. I never got a hit off of him! I saw him last at the AHHS Class of `71 40th reunion when I sat at the same table with him and his daughter. We talked about faith and life. May God grant peace to his Ike´s family.

I tried so hard to get you to come to the last school event so we could spend some time together. Remember the old days when you, your wife and I used to laugh together at them? That was before kids and life got in the way. I missed you, and all the gang, all these years. But I hope you are happy, out of any pain and watching over us now and someday we will reunite and even let Jamalyne join in the gang. Say HI to Marc. Love you and love to the family.

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I grew up in Crestwood, same class with Pepper. Your mention of playing in the woods and levy was particularly meaningful to me. It was a defining experience for the kids of that era.

I am sorry to hear this. He was always so much fun to be with through our school years. He always had something uplifting to say about everything.
