SULLIVAN - Darrell Hubert England, 74, of Sullivan, passed away 8:56 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Sullivan Healthcare.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home in Sullivan. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moultrie County Beacon Activity Fund.

Darrell was born on July 7, 1950, in Sullivan; the son of Hubert Vanus and Zola Grace (Thomas) England. He worked at the Moultrie County Beacon for many years. Darrell was one of the original individuals that was at the Beacon when it opened in 1968. His 50th anniversary at the Beacon was celebrated with a Mexican dinner. Darrell was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved going to the games in St. Louis!

He is survived by his twin sisters, Janette McReynolds of Bethany and Joan (David) Richardson of Yuma, Ariz. Darrell is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Jane and Nola Mae; brothers, Duane E. and Gene Calvin.
