Teresa Martin Obituary

Teresa May Martin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at her home on September 17, 2024, at the age of 63. She was born on July 5, 1961, in Washington, DC, to Patsy Middleton. Teresa grew up in Cordova, MD, alongside her brother, James Middleton.

A proud graduate of Easton High School in 1979, Teresa later pursued her passion for nursing, earning her associate's degree from Chesapeake College in 2010. She dedicated over a decade of her life working at Beatty and Satchell, followed by 7 years at Genesis Health Care. She also was a nurse case manager at CareFirst and Sharecare, where her compassion and expertise made a lasting impact.

Teresa cherished family vacations to the Outer Banks and Pennsylvania, where she loved visiting her grandchildren. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family and close friends. She is survived by her mother Patsy Middleton of Easton, MD; her brother James Middleton (Carrie) of Cordova, Md; her husband, Joseph B. Martin of Easton, MD; her children, April Fuller (Perry) of Downingtown, PA and Joseph Ryan Martin (Katie) of Trappe, MD; and her grandchildren, Isabel and Brendan Fuller, and Owen and Weston Martin, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and a niece, all of whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Carroll Wooters and Dortha Wooters.

Teresa was known for her warm smile, infectious laugh, and caring personality. She was a shoulder to lean on for many and had an unwavering willingness to help others. Teresa was a bright light in the lives of her family and all who knew her.

A service to celebrate Teresa's life will be held at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home on October 5th at 11 AM, with a visitation prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Teresa's name to Talbot Hospice, reflecting her spirit of generosity and kindness.

Teresa will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
