Robert Woelfel Obituary

Robert L. "Rob" Woelfel, 62, of Kersey, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Known by all as a gifted mechanic and lifelong tinkerer, Rob had an unmatched ability to bring machines back to life and a curiosity that never rested.??He was born on November 7, 1963 in St. Marys, a son of the late Wray "Lucky" and Doris Wolfe Woelfel.??On June 30, 1989 in Queen of the World Church, he married Judith Lundy Woelfel, who survives.??Rob was a graduate of ECCHS, class of 1982 and earned an Associate's Degree from Penn State DuBois in Mechanical Engineering. In his early years, Rob was employed at the family business, Suburban Building Center, and then went on to have a long career in powdered metal, working at Windfall and Phoenix, and in recent years at Universal Machine Rebuilding.??In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by four sons; Wray (Kalinda) Woelfel of Grand Junction, CO, Gideon Woelfel, Cody Woelfel, and Zeph Woelfel, all of Kersey; by his daughter-in-law; Shannon Woelfel of Kersey, and by his three grandchildren; Jaxtyn, Maverick, and Mayzilyn.?He is also survived by five siblings; Kenneth (Ann) Woelfel of St. Marys, Deborah (James) Dellaquila of St. Marys, Donna (John) Gerber of St. Marys, Nancy (Duane) Bucher of St. Marys and Janice Woelfel of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.??In addition to his parents, Rob was preceded in death by his son; Tyrel Woelfel on July 19, 2025 and by a brother; Christopher Woelfel.??Family and friends are invited to a Life Celebration to gather and share memories and stories of Rob at the Woelfel Home, 247 S. Kersey Road, Kersey, PA 15846 on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. A short Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev.
