Carrie R. Lewis of Dennis Township, N.J., passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at the age of 85, in Cape May Court House, N.J. Born on January 15, 1941, to parents Thomas and Hazel Harris Langrell, Carrie grew into a person exemplified by her kindness and friendly spirit. Her life was rich with stories, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to her family.

Carrie's warm presence filled the rooms of Crest Haven Nursing Home, where she worked in housekeeping for many years. She loved storytelling, a testament to her ability to connect with others and create joy through her words. Carrie's stories were not only a source of entertainment but also lessons in kindness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to hear them.

Carrie's life was centered around her beloved family. She was a loving mother to Karen Wear and her husband Doug, Diane Ennis and her husband Bill, Troy Lewis and his wife Michelle, and Michael Lewis. Carrie also found joy in her role as a sister to Phyllis Thornton and JoAnn Lambert. The branches of her family tree extended to her 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, whom she adored and supported in all their endeavors.

Predeceased by her devoted husband, Wayne Lewis; her daughter, Brenda Lee Palasch; her son, Wayne A. Lewis; her parents, Thomas and Hazel; and her brothers, Alvin Harris and Edward Langrell. Carrie's legacy of gentleness and amicability lives on through her remaining family and the countless lives she touched.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, N.J., where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be private for the family in Head of the River Cemetery, Estell Manor.
