Myrna Baumgartner Obituary
Born on November 18, 1940, Myrna graduated from Reading High School and dedicated 28 years as the Assistant Treasurer at Greenhills-Forest Park City Schools in Cincinnati, Ohio. She retired to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1997.
Myrna had a passion for crafts, including ceramics, cross-stitch, quilts, and the creation of many cherished Christmas stockings. Myrna also found joy in assembling puzzles and generously contributed her time to working with Vietnam Veterans.
Myrna leaves behind her loving husband of 30 years, Jerry, and her four sons: Mike (Susan) Huffman, Dave (Patrice) Huffman, Craig (Deb) Huffman, and Doug (Bonnie) Huffman, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.
She is also survived by her brother, Al Luers, and sisters, Carol Carpenter and Marcia Collopy. Preceding her in death were her parents, Marcellus and Laura Luers, and her sister, Janet Shultes.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda, Florida, on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11:00am. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the American Legion Post 110, 3152 Harbor Blvd in Port Charlotte, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Myrna's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Myrna and I are double first cousins. My memories go back 80 years-there are so many. Most of all I remember her warmth, her kindness, her smiles and laughter. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. God bless you as you deal with an incredible loss.

Myrna was a friend, a life-line, a great hugger, a great laugher and story teller, and most of all - chosen family. My heart hurts with this news. A candle will be lit for her in church and we're sending our deep love and hugs to everyone in our Legion family. We love you Uncle Jerry. xoxo

So sorry Jerry! You, Bob, Myrna, and I have been friends since boating on Acton Lake. We have remained friend since all of us moving to Florida! So very SAD!
