Don Taylor Obituary

Michele,
I was stunned to learn that Don had passed away. So many memories from football, baseball and fun time at the field with your family. Don, was very helpful to me with the Navy phone system and I know he will be missed by all. Jimmy, Jeanene and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during the long days ahead. This verse gave me comfort when I lost my dear Mother and best friend. She had a tough battle as did Don. God always takes care of those who have faith.

*God's Garden*
God looked around His garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.

He knew that you were suffering and He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would not get well upon this earth again.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Please know that you are in my heart. Only just today did I learn that Don is gone and I would have been at the service had I known!

All the good times at Portside and the Seawall are special memories to cherish - the music we all loved so much and being together! Don's smile and happy outlook made wherever he was brighter and fun. I can remember his time at TCC and how pleased he was to be there.

He will always be special to all who knew and loved him.

Sometimes when I see an obituary, it is simply too hard to believe. I thought that Don was indestructible, that he would never end and certainly not before me. He was everything a good citizen and good family man could be. He earned respect from all who knew him. Mike and his children have my deepest personal sympathy. My thoughts are with you.
