Gary Dirlam Obituary

Gary Lee Dirlam Passed away on December 2, 2023, in Ocala Florida. Gary was born June 25, 1943, In Des Moines, IA, to Dr. K.M Dirlam and Margaret Dirlam. Gary was an attorney and respected litigator in Orlando for fifty years.

He is survived by sister, Kae Rae Ferris, brother, Philip Dirlam, niece Kelle Cowan and nephew Philip Dirlam ll.

He loved to spend time on the lakes. He grew up on Lake Weir and later lived for decades on Lake Sheen in Orlando. He graduated from the University of Florida where he was a Sigma Chi. He earned a law degree from Stetson College of Law.

He served his community in many ways to include serving as guardian ad litem for approximately fifty children. He was dedicated to gaining recognition for veterans, especially WWll veterans, in local parades, civic programs, and special events.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 2:00pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34470.
