It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Ann Maricle, a lifelong resident of Ville Platte, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on December 16, 1951, to her beloved parents, Unal and Hazel B. Deville in Ville Platte, LA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Ville Platte, beginning at 2:00 pm with Reverend Kevin West presiding.
Peggy will be remembered as a dedicated beautician and the proud owner of Peggy's Beauty Shop for over 40 years, where she shared her exceptional talent for styling hair with a friendly smile and lively conversations. Her passion for cooking was well-known, and her love for literature added yet another layer to her vibrant personality. The simple joy of sharing a cup of coffee with friends and family, reminiscing about cherished memories, brought her great happiness. Peggy thrived in the company of her loved ones, and her beautiful garden reflected her nurturing spirit, as she took delight in tending to her flowers. Peggy found joy in spending time surrounded by her family and treasured visiting with her loved ones.
She will forever be cherished by her daughter, Heather Lynne Maricle and fiancé, Jerad Ardoin; her sons, Chad Maricle and Vickie of Oakdale, Craig Maricle and wife, Jill of Lake Charles; her grandchildren, Savannah, Jalyne, Hunter, Madelyn, Philip, Connor, Erica, and Alissa; her great-grandchildren, Madison, Haven, Brantley, Ryder, Dawson, Camberly, Emma, Calister, and Hayes. She also leaves behind the father of her children, Hudson Maricle, Jr. of Oakdale, and her longtime friend, Peggy Paul.
Peggy now reunites with her parents, Unal and Hazel B. Deville, and her brother, James Deville, in the haven of eternal peace.
At the request of the family, a visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Monday, September 23, 2024, beginning at 9:00 am, leading up to the Celebration of Life.
In memory of Peggy's kindness, joys, and love shared with all who knew her, we invite friends and family to join us as we honor her remarkable life and legacy. May she rest in eternal peace.
