Lila Lovely Obituary

Lila Ann Stewart Lovely entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the age of 77. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Lila attended Lincoln High School and she was employed as a nurse assistant with Wynhoven Nursing Home. Beloved mother of James "Dodie" (Cassandra) Lovely, Jr., and the late Michael and Troy Lynn Lovely. Grandmother of Michael and Jeremy Lovely, Nekia L. (Rudy)Mojica, Jasmine George, Troy (Jomeka) Murray, Sr., and the late Tranisha Wilson. Daughter of the late Columbus, Sr. and the late Constevenia P. Stewart. Sister of Linda S. Champagne of Chicago, IL, Nell S. (James) Whitney, and the late Tobenia S. Thomas, Carolyn Stewart, and Columbus Stewart, Jr. Mother in law of Deadra H. Lovely. Sister in law of the late Charles M. Thomas, Sr., and Junior Champagne. Godmother of Dr. Kenya Whitney Reid. Friend and caregiver Ronald Mumphrey, also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Boynton United Methodist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Bishop James T. Whitney of Church of God of Prophecy officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
