Cherie Orillion Obituary

Cherie Dychtwald Orillion, age 56, of Covington, LA passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, unexpectedly following an accident at her home. She was born on December 30, 1967 in New Orleans, LA to Michael J. and Bonnie Ann (Lopez) Orillion. Cherie is survived by her beloved wife, Pam G. Dychtwald and her father "Mike" Orillion. She is also survived by her brother, Michael (Jennifer), nieces: Abby and Katie Orillion, Grace Ferguson, and twelve furry pets. Cherie is preceded in death by her mother Bonnie. Cherie loved life more than the history of the events it took for her to get there. She attended St. Matthew the Apostle School, graduated from Archbishop Chapelle High school, and earned her bachelor's degree from Tulane University. She worked in IT, formerly at STPH and last at CGB. Cherie cherished people, lived life to the fullest and wanted everyone to love one another. She made friends everywhere and lit up each room with her energy. She always sought peace and harmony among all. Cherie wanted people to love one another and practice the motto "One Love". She was genuine, funny, caring, honest, passionate, guided young adults, giving and all around handy. Fishing, spending time at the beach, snuggling with her pets and loving her wife were her all time joys. Relatives, chosen family, friends and co-workers are invited to gather to celebrate Cherie's life at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in memory of Cherie to Washington Humane Society, a 501(3)C Tax Id 72-1211247, Via PayPal: [email protected], Via Cash Ap: $magnoliahumane or mail WHS, P.O. I was so sorry to learn of Cherie's passing--the Obituary describes her perfectly! She was such a help to us all here with St Tammany Hospital network, and always so joyful and full of energy. We were all sorry to see her leave but understood her opportunity and supported her. She lived the way she chose and was so darn good at it! Pam, it must be hard; I know how much she appreciated you! You and yours are in my prayers
