Her daughter Kelly West predeceased her in 2001.
Glenna was an excellent bridge player and long-time member of the Newtown, CT Bridge Club for which she was a former Board Member, former Secretary and interviewer of members for the club magazine. For many years she taught beginner bridge lessons at the Ridgefield, CT Adult Education Program.
Glenna owned her own executive search firm called G McNally Enterprises which specialized in coordinating with other search firms and advising candidates on resume and interview preparation. She worked for the Spencer Stuart Executive Search firm in New York City prior to starting her own business.
Glenna was a graduate of Red Hook, NY High School Class of 1960 and was President of her class. She won the Oratorical Contest and participated in the school musical during her senior year. It is with a heavy heart that we respond to Glenna's passing. In our memory, Glenna was "The Martha Stewart" of Main Street, Ridgefield back in the 1990's. She infused our lives with her exceptional hosting skills, laughter, wine, and cuisine. I will never forget the New Year's Eve of 1999 when we made jolly as we ushered in the new century with the McNally's. Ed and Hollie, you have our deepest, heartfelt sympathy. Please know that our prayers are with you.

I am so deeply saddened hearing the news of Glenna's passing. I feel such deep grief. I had the wonderful privilege to meet Ed and Glenna through mutual friends (Ania and Mark) and over the years of spending time with the four of them, I saw Glenna as this amazing energy that she radiated whenever she spoke. I then moved to Australia and when I went back to Danbury to Ania and Marks in 2023, there Ed and Glenna were, and we continued our various topics of delightful conversations.
Ed, Holly and the rest of her family, I send you my sincere condolences.
My heart feels so empty, but I know her angelic energy carries on and she is always with us even after she has physically left us. I like to call it her Continuation Day, as no one truly ever dies but continues on in a life never ending. God Bless you sweet lady and thank you for your love. xx

Glenna McNally

The McNallys were family friends going back to my childhood, through my parents.

Glenna was an excellent hostess, and you always knew when going for a visit you would be in for wonderful conversation and a delicious meal with perfect presentation waiting for you in the evening. In particular I remember a time when I was recruited to carve jack o´ lanterns for her porch one Halloween during our visit and was repaid by a delicious leg of lamb when we sat down for dinner. It was not something I would have normally had at the time, but credit with my taste for it later in life and possibly planting a kernel of my own interest in cooking later in my adulthood.

Glenna will surely be missed by all whose lives she has had a part in. My condolences to Ed and the rest of her family.
